Literature Text

For years I slept with open eyes
and fibrous dreams, cut into shapes
so real to the touch.

It took a shock to wake me up
and shed my baby skin.
The cold is raw now,
honest and lethal
to a naked body,
freezing words
solid in the throat.

Light once imagined
shines no more.
Love once whispered
now rings hollow
among the echoes
of the dusk.

I think that you've written a good poem here, but I can't relate with it. I'll give credit for imagery, as well as the comparisons used in conveying your message. The line breaks are well used as well, and I liked how you've structured this poem. Well done.
