When people say
their silly things,
remember this.

All the words consist of letters,
all the letters were born from sounds,
all the sounds emerged from mutated throats,
all the mutated throats were silent once,
all the silence still meant violence,
all the violence was quickened in life,
all the life was inspired by heat and stones,
all the heat and stones were once

With such a pedigree,
our burning hearts
and rocks-for-brains
are still the savage tools
in our hairy hands.

Our communication skills
the screeching sounds
of egos grinding
against our limits.
Maybe I'm being a little preachy here, but we must remember that we're basically just animals with voices. I'm sure that many of you won't agree with me, but I think we're getting ahead of ourselves in many regards. We have a whole lot to learn, so we'd better get started.

I think the same way as you.
Principally now, the way the world is becoming, we are just animals that have voice.

Oh, but we all do!

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

love this. you capture pretty well this idea that we are made of nature (which is what chinese five element philosophy, and probably others, is based on).

Yes, that's it :) Tried to give it a little bit of a contemporary twist.

That is very true. Instead of simply biting and clawing at one another, we stab and shoot with weapons, or strike with words. While humans can express themselves far more efficiently than other animals, we are also far more vulnerable to the piercing of words. In truth, the right set of words can cause far more destruction than any sword, gun, or bomb.

Yeah, and that's why we need to know and understand why we say the things we do. I am personally appalled at what people will say when granted anonymity on the Internet. I will never condone any kind of censorship, the net should be kept as open and free as possible, but I will most certainly tell people that I think we're sounding like a bunch of spoiled, selfish brats a lot of the time. Communication should lift us up, not destroy our very foundations.
